Len Barrie Junior Hockey Skills Academy
Junior Skills Academy (Ages 6-13)The Junior Skills Academy is a hockey program designed to help players aged 6 to 13 improve key skills, including skating, puck handling, passing and receiving, shooting, and checking. In addition to skill development, the program focuses on building individual offensive and defensive tactics.
Each session emphasizes skating and puck skills, using a station-based approach to maximize individual development. Players are encouraged to work hard and challenge themselves to improve their skills at their own pace.
To keep things engaging, each session includes a fun, game-like component where players can apply the skills and tactics they've learned in mini-game situations.
Equipment Needed:
Goalie ProgramWe also offer a Goalie Program where young goalies receive instruction focused on developing fundamental goaltending skills, with particular emphasis on skating and positioning. To ensure individualized attention, space in the Goalie Program is limited.
